It arrives July 28, and the singer has told fans that it’s “some of the most challenging and rewarding music for me, a least – trying to really push myself and really do some cool stuff.” To celebrate the arrival of his fifth full album, we united with Mr. Malone in SoCal last month. The results are stellar, with Post being deeply candid and deeply expressive for the cameras. With a fetching pop perspective, he’s leveling up once again, no doubt. The 1975 don’t stand still. Their vision is broad, and every time they drop a new album, that vision widens a little bit further. Certainly that’s the case with ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language,’ the Brit outfit’s fifth studio affair and a radiant follow-up to 2020’s ‘Notes On A Conditional Form.’ But not “radiant” in a glimmering way, like a bauble that shines a bit too much. “Radiant” as in real. A sense of verité streaks through “All I Need To Hear” and “I’m In Love With You” – with Jack Antonoff, Matty Healy, and drummer George Daniel guiding the way the music was captured, it sounds like the band is playing them live. And that’s attractive. So we had Team Healy, which also features guitarist Adam Hann and bassist Ross MacDonald, celebrate their latest victory by burning through some of their new tunes for our Official Live Performances program. First up? “Oh Caroline.” Everything is well measured on this one, ‘cept for when Matty pours his heart out at the end. Stay tuned, more coming.

Doja has told interviewers that she wanted to take chances, try new approaches, and create “otherworldly” sounds. Job done. The same goes for these new Official Live Performances. After meeting with the singer and her creative team, our production crew got to work in a canyon outside of LA. There, assuring that “otherworldly” request was appropriately fleshed out, we built a 48’ stage in the center of a rocky crag. Doja, banking on a combo of skills, artistry, and perseverance, did the rest. “Ain’t Shit” finds her chastising those who don’t live up to her standards, indictments leveled with some dreamy grooves behind them. Watch her prowl the stage. She’s as comfy in a Cali desert as she was in that giant saucer of milk she glided through in our “Streets” LIFT performance last year. Wallows - Calling After Me. An exclusive performance for Vevo.

Teenage life has long had its share of dominant dreams, and starting a band with your pals is certainly one. Along with drummer Cole Preston, guitarists Braeden Lemasters and Dylan Minnette connected a decade-plus ago as high cool kids with aspirations of ripping up Warped Tour stages. Diversion, however, came in the form of the group’s other talents, namely Minnette and Lemaster’s burgeoning acting careers. By 2017, they were booking gigs as recurring characters on popular TV shows, as well as clocking roles in streaming hits and studio films. But the Hollywood glow couldn’t outshine the joy of jamming with the boys. That year, the trio formally adopted the Wallows moniker and dropped “Pleasers,” a foreshadowing of their offbeat alt-pop and the massive response that would ensue. Three albums later, with 'Model’ currently hot on the market, the fellas are embarking on a 38-city tour that includes stops at Madison Square Garden and KIA Forum. Sure, you’ve probably heard the Clairo-assisted “Are you bored yet?,” but you haven’t seen them pass the baton around in our studio. "Calling After Me" and "A Warning" will fix that, quick.
